Britax Decathlon
The Britax Decathlon is a full size convertible car seat that can be used to face the rear of the car when the child is a baby, and then converts to face the front. When the seat is rear facing, it is designed for a child's weight of 5 to 33 lbs, a height of 49” or less and a seated shoulder height of 9.5 to 16”.
The specifications for the seat when front facing is a a weight of 20 to 65 lbs, a height of 49” or less, and a seated shoulder height of 12” to 16”. The seat has a weight of 15.5 lbs and is considered a luxurious car seat with removable body and head pillows. The Decathlon also has four harness heights with the five-point and tangle resistant belts for larger children. The seat has advanced side impact protection, which restrains the child's head and body and disburses impact forces for added safety.
There are many accessories that are available for the Decathlon including extra internal foam for added comfort as well as covers, replacement pad sets, harnesses, clips and buckles. The colors are two tone available in either tan, brown, gray, black, or bright pink with a floral print.
